Student Spotlight – Amy
TriBalance student spotlight for May is our lovely Amy. Here she has shared with us her yoga story:
In late 2017 I suffered an injury that caused two bulged discs in my lower back. Unfortunately this led to a loss of nerve function in my right foot, and I had to have a discectomy to relieve the impingement and reduce the pain.
I had tried both yoga and pilates in the past but had never really enjoyed either – in fact I detested downward dogs! However after the surgery I knew I needed to find a clinic that offered a gentle, guided practice of yoga and pilates so I could work towards regaining flexibility and strength in my back and core. Luckily for me, my wonderful hairdresser Michelle from Melt Hair Makeup Beauty knew exactly where I should go – right across the road to TriBalance Health & Wellness.
I wandered across the road that very day and signed up straight away. 5 months on, I can’t express enough how incredibly grateful I am to the TriBalance team, especially Cathy, Mel and Anne, for the difference they have made to my wellbeing. Every class I attend – whether it be yoga, pilates or clinical pilates – I learn something new, build a little more core strength, find a little more flexibility and leave feeling more balanced, relaxed and pain free.
