If you haven’t heard about essential oils or aren’t using them daily yet, these little bottles are life changers! There are so many different ways to use essential oils from creating low tox cleaning and beauty products to assisting in mood management from feelings of relaxation to uplifting the spirit and the senses.

So what are essential oils?

Essential oils are pure plant extracts sourced from nature. I only use doTERRA essential oils because of their quality and purity standard (not all oils are created equal). Our bodies work really well when we using the innate intelligence of these plant compounds by harnessing the power of essential oils.

So How Do You Use essential oils?

Aromatically

This is my favourite! You can inhale straight from an open bottle, put a drop in your hand and rub your hands together inhaling. Another popular way is using an ultra sonic diffuser. “To diffuse in an ultrasonic diffuser, put cool tap water to the fill line and add at least two drops or more to the water. Then, choose the time setting you desire and let it run.” – doTERRA.

Tip! One of My favourite oils to diffuse is Wild Orange!

Topically

Add this to your self-care routine! Adding a drop of essential oil to a carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil) and give your self a beautiful massage. Starting at your feet and working your way up, you can even add in self love affirmations as you go! You will smell and feel amazing!

Tip! My favourite night time oil after I’ve had a shower is Lavender!

Food Additive

Looking to spice up your water or add a kick to your cooking? Using pure tested grade oils are fantastic as a food additive and taste amazing.

Tip! Add a drop of Lemon essential oil with your water in your stainless steel or glass water bottle.
